The contract, lasting a period of 15 years, is an acquire, operate and transfer (AOT) project for the two existing water and wastewater treatment facilities for its cold rolled steel plants.
Veolia Water produces 10,000 metric tonnes of reverse osmosis (RO) water per day, 220,000 metric tonnes of cooling water, and treats 8,000 metric tonnes of wastewater for the two facilities.
It is the second project awarded by Dongbu Steel to Veolia Water Korea following the Dongbu Steel BOT contract signed in 2008. The contract requires our technical expertise in water supply and wastewater treatments for industrial needs. We believe our contribution will magnify synergy effects in the near future by operating water and wastewater treatment facilities at both cold rolled steel plant and hot rolled steel plant in Asan bay.
